THE WAY is located on the grounds of Scott UMC and is also pastored by Rev. Anyike
THE WAY is a new Africentric ministry of the United Methodist Church. By calling ourselves THE WAY we are exhibiting the African principle of Sankofa, which means to "Go back and fetch it." Before the early believers were called Christians, they were called "the people of The Way."
The purpose of THE WAY is to be a church with a unique ministry that is contemporary in its worship, community focused in its ministries, culturally Africentric in its approach to ministry, consistent in its programs, relevant in its services, comprehensive in its appeal to all people, completely committed to making disciples for Jesus Christ, and Christ-like and biblical in all that it does. is a new Africentric ministry of the United Methodist Church.
